MEL TAILORED VEST – PDF SEWING PATTERN

Mel is a semi-fitted fully lined vest that sits just below the hip line. 

It features a round neckline and shoulder princess seams on the front and back sides, as well as a centre back seam. 

The vest has a centre front closure with 8 buttons which end just below the waist; from the waist down, the vest opens in an upside down “V” shape.

Mel also includes functional welt pockets with pocket flaps. 

Due to the nature of digital files, we do not accept returns on our PDF patterns or products.

SUITABLE FABRICS

Lightweight woven fabrics with very little to no stretch such as   linen, cotton, denim, crepes, twill, natural and synthetic suiting, gaberdine. 

Lining: soft lightweight fabrics, lightweight cotton, habotai, cupro, satin viscose and acetate.

Interfacing: choose woven polyester or viscose, lightweight to mid-weight interfacing (make sure to test it first).

HEIGHT

The pattern is offered in two height groups: 160 and 170 cm (5’3” and 5’7”), when buying this pattern you should select the closest height to your body, if you are in the middle choose the tallest. Both patterns have exactly the same width around the body, the only difference is in the length.

If you are outside these groups, you may need to alter the pattern length at the lengthen/shorten lines marked on the pattern pieces.
