Dulce is a high-waisted mini skirt with a slight "A" line shape at the hem. It features two darts on the front and two on the back and in invisible zip on the centre back seam.
The skirt is fully lined with a bagged out lining and an internal separate waistband which is finished with a bias binding on the bottom edge for a luxurious finish.
Due to the nature of digital files, we do not accept returns on our PDF patterns or products.
SUITABLE FABRICS
Main fabric: Dulce was designed for mid-weight fabrics that can hold some structure like tweeds/ bouclé, suitings, denim, crepe, linen and cotton.
Interfacing: lightweight fusible woven interfacing or lightweight knit interfacing with low stretch. Fully interfacing the skirt will add a soft structure and weight to the skirt.
Cotton interfacing is not recommended for this pattern.
Lining: lightweight slippery fabrics such as satin, habotai, viscose satin lining, crepe de Chine, viscose twill, cupro and acetate.
For main fabric made of cotton or linen, it is recommended to line with cotton voile or a lightweight cotton based fabric.

HEIGHT
The pattern is offered in two height groups: 160 and 170 cm (5’3” and 5’7”), when buying this pattern you should select the closest height to your body, if you are in the middle choose the tallest. Both patterns have exactly the same width around the body, the only difference is in the length.
If you are outside these groups, you may need to alter the pattern length at the lengthen/shorten lines marked on the pattern pieces.

I've been looking for a simple A-line skirt pattern for ages and was so excited to see Bella come out with a pattern because I just knew the fit would be perfect and the finishing impeccable. I lengthened the skirt to make it work appropriate and have already made 2 (with more to come), the inside is just *chef's kiss*!
I cannot talk more highly about this pattern. So detailed and produces a beautiful result even from my impatient hands.
I used a wool twill for the skirt and a silk twill for the lining which I wouldn’t use again in retrospect as it frayed a lot making the final bagging of the hem a little painful (this was exacerbated by the fact that I turned it full wrong way round and had to unpick… but even then the finished product is beautiful
I graded from a 12 in the waist to a 14 in the hips and it worked perfectly. The sew along videos were invaluable and I highly recommend watching those too. I bought the pdf pattern and printed at home which worked perfectly. I can’t wait to make more of these and buy more of your patterns as I am so delighted with how professional the finished product is.
One of the biggest selling points here is the techniques I’ve learnt. Something about how Bella presents her methods has helped a lot of it click in my head, so thank you!
