#BlpGrace

Grace is a classic mid-calf, double-breasted coat with a relaxed, straight silhouette. Its main feature is the dolman sleeve with the underarm gusset panel, and the topstitching at the collar, shoulders, sleeve hems, centre back seam and belt helps to accentuate the seams. The topstitching can be done either by hand or machine.

This coat has inserted raglan shoulder pads to create a beautiful round shoulder line.

Grace has a bal collar with collar stand, a single button closure at the lapel edge, front welt pockets at the sides and for closure at the waist, two poppers for a clean polished look. Grace can be worn with or without a belt, which, when not worn, can be left hanging on a belt loop inside the coat.

There's a vent on the centre back for ease of walking. This coat is fully lined with a set-in sleeve lining.

Grace is a timeless coat to keep for life, and I hope you will enjoy sewing it.

Due to the nature of digital files, we do not accept returns on our PDF patterns or products.

Halfway there: a balanced review

If you are are a professional seamstress, you won't have a problem with this, buty the pattern. If this is a hobby project, well:

Con:
- Only cup size B. I feel the the bigger sizes should have corporated automatically the bigger Cup sizes.
- Video tutorial (masterclass) is expensive as hell (30 Eur).
- No online sew along or presence for this coat (from various creators): I tipically like to look for videos or pictures, so I have an idea about diff. colors, how is looks on diff. body types, diff. materials...

Pro:
+Written instructions are clear and detailed.

Long version:
The pattern and the written instructions seems to be detailed enough. I am thinking about buying the Masterclass video, which is 30 EUR right now. Why not somewhat cheaper, so the coat would gain online popularity, thus the pattern would sell more? The making of a video is expensive I understand that, still...

Cup Size B for all the sizes?! In the written instructions there are some guidance how to adjust the pattern, but honestly I am not confidant enough for that.

I am an intermediate beginner, who loves to challenge herself with difficult patterns, this is my fisrt time with a coat. Many mockups will be needed for experimenting with the cup adjustment/ overall fit, and this is very frightening. I chose to make the actual coat from walkloden (a type of boiled wool) and cupro, so this is my most expensive project. I have not yet finished this, so I don't know how the pattern will come together an the end.

Summary:
This is the most beautiful coat I have ever seen, and I was amazed that no one on youtube had made a sew along. I am mildly angry about the cup size, with that, this would be just perfect. However adjusting myself the coat/lining/ inter. is really an annoyance! Even if I had the skill, it would take so much time to do it, and If I buy and print a pattern it should already be included, since it is not an easy peasy length adjustment!
