Bennie is a vest with a "v" shaped front neckline and side slanted double jetted pockets inserted into the front princess seams. It also features four buttons at the centre front closure and a longer front hem.
On the back side, Bennie includes shoulder darts, a centre back seam, back princess seams and side ties to adjust the fit at the waist. This vest is fully lined.

SUITABLE FABRICS
Woven lightweight fabrics with very little to no stretch percentage. Suitings, crepes, linen, twill, natural and synthetic suiting, gaberdine.
Lining: soft lightweight fabrics, lightweight cotton, habotai, cupro, satin viscose and acetate.
Interfacing: choose woven polyester or viscose, light-weight to mid-weight interfacing (make sure to test it first).

Available from bust 80 cm to 112 cm - 31 1/2" to 44"
Available from hip 87 cm to 119 cm - 34 1/4" to 46 3/4"
HEIGHT
The pattern is offered in two height groups: 160 and 170 cm (5’3” and 5’7”), when buying this pattern you should select the closest height to your body, if you are in the middle choose the tallest. Both patterns have exactly the same width around the body, the only difference is in the length.
If you are outside these groups, you may need to alter the pattern length at the lengthen/shorten lines marked on the pattern pieces.

This vest is elegant, chic, fits perfect in every body I’ve tested! We’ve tested almost every size there’s available and it’s incredible how there’s a perfect size for everyone. We did with 100% cotton, and with gabardine fabric, they both looked lovely!
Bella’s patterns are so detailed and unlike many sewing patterns from the big companies. Following her instructions allows you to make a garment that is beautifully tailored and finished. I’ve made both the waistcoat and the Traveller coat and am so pleased with how they’ve both turned out. They both look really crisp and polished and I’m sure I’ll be wearing both for many years . Don’t be daunted when seeing how long the instructions are! If you steadily follow through them you’ll be so pleased with the final results!
