Bennie is a vest with a "v" shaped front neckline and side slanted double jetted pockets inserted into the front princess seams. It also features four buttons at the centre front closure and a longer front hem.
On the back side, Bennie includes shoulder darts, a centre back seam, back princess seams and side ties to adjust the fit at the waist. This vest is fully lined.
Due to the nature of digital files, we do not accept returns on our PDF patterns or products.
SUITABLE FABRICS
Woven lightweight fabrics with very little to no stretch percentage. Suitings, crepes, linen, twill, natural and synthetic suiting, gaberdine.
Lining: soft lightweight fabrics, lightweight cotton, habotai, cupro, satin viscose and acetate.
Interfacing: choose woven polyester or viscose, light-weight to mid-weight interfacing (make sure to test it first).

All of our patterns are drafted to fit B cup size.
Available from bust 80 cm to 112 cm - 31 1/2" to 44"
Available from hip 87 cm to 119 cm - 34 1/4" to 46 3/4"
HEIGHT
The pattern is offered in two height groups: 160 and 170 cm (5’3” and 5’7”), when buying this pattern you should select the closest height to your body, if you are in the middle choose the tallest. Both patterns have exactly the same width around the body, the only difference is in the length.
If you are outside these groups, you may need to alter the pattern length at the lengthen/shorten lines marked on the pattern pieces.

My first ever waistcoat, or vest, and the Masterclass was invaluable. I made a size larger than my usual, as I will wear the vest over a shirt. Lots of learning during this sew, I will definitely make another! PDF pattern was easy assemble, and I did block interface as advised. A great adventure in tailoring!
I had only 3 days to finish the vest so I also bought the master class video to be sure to understand quickly. This turned out to be a good idea as the vest is not without challenging details. The instructions and the video made the job very pleasant ad the result is very nice. On top of the Billy trousers.
Bella, Thanks for your response to my review.. However I used YOUR program to selectively print ONLY size 12. So I did not select the wrong pattern line, your program did. I think it is an issue with YOUR program

Thank you for your feedback.
From the photo you attached, it appears you might have followed the wrong pattern line at the side seams when cutting the lining pieces.
This sewing pattern has been fully tested and in use for over a year. If such a big mistake existed, I would have corrected before launching and I would have heard by now from other sewists early on.

I didn't have time to sew the vest yet, but I was very pleased with their helpfulness when I bought the wrong size, as they responded to my email within a very short time and exchanged the file. The sewing instructions also look very well prepared and I'm looking forward to sewing the vest! I will definitely get other patterns from here when I have more time to sew again
This is hands down one of the best commercial patterns I've ever tried. I usually draft my own patterns but I decided to try this one and it's truly amazing. The sizes are accurate (I made two different ones), the instructions are clear and contain some really nice (I would even say advanced) information. Highly recommend!
