ANNA SKIRT – PDF SEWING PATTERN

Anna is a classic fitted, high-waisted, midi length denim skirt with a straight silhouette.

It features a waistband with five belt loops all around, two curved pockets and a single coin pocket on the front. Anna has a centre zip closure, single button at the a waistband and front slit.

On the back side, Anna features a curved back yoke design, and two patch pockets and a centre back seam. There’s decorative topstitching on all main seams.

SUITABLE FABRICS

Main fabric: Anna was designed for mid-weight to heavy-weight woven fabrics with little to no stretch. Fabrics like denim, cotton twills, corduroy, linens that are appropriate for bottoms.

Interfacing: woven lightweight fusible interfacing or lightweight knit interfacing with low stretch.

Lining: Crisp fabrics such as cotton pocketing, lawn and shirting fabrics.

SAMPLE INFORMATION

The sewing instructions sample is made of 100% cotton denim
331g (11.7 oz). 100% cotton shirting for the lining.

• 1  Zip with metal teeth - See slide for zip length
• 1 Metal button of 16 mm in diameter

• 1 spool of topstitching thread - Mara 30 or 70 weight 
• Topstitching machine needle
• 4 spools of all-purpose thread - Mara 120 weight
• Stay tape 1—1.2 cm (3/8"—1/2") wide

 EASE ALLOWANCE & LENGTH

HEIGHT

The pattern is offered in two height groups: 160 and 170 cm (5’3” and 5’7”), when buying this pattern you should select the closest height to your body, if you are in the middle choose the tallest. Both patterns have exactly the same width around the body, the only difference is in the length.

If you are outside these groups, you may need to alter the pattern length at the lengthen/shorten lines marked on the pattern pieces.
