I am looking for 10 to 20 sewists to pattern test my next up coming pattern the Vita dress and blouse it will be available in the sizes 6 to 20 UK / 34 to 48 EUR / 2 to 16 US.  You can find our size chart here.

Vita is vintage inspired pattern with shirred details, designed for advanced beginners and intermediate sewists. If you are interested in taking part of the testing please sign up here.

I didn't expect to have the pattern call happening now, like in many places around the world here in the UK we find ourselves in a lockdown. In many cases we are  unable to buy some of the supplies that we would need for pattern testing. So this call is mainly to those of you who have a stash at home and easy access to shirring elastic! You can't do this pattern without it.

Normally I give 3 weekends for testers to gather materials and sew up the pattern in addition to feedback. This time round it will work a bit differently, since we would need to relay on supplies we already have at home, the time frame will be of 2 weekends.

I am looking to send the pattern this Sunday 29th and have the feedback by Sunday 12th of April. If you are interested to test this pattern and provide feedback please sign up here. I Should be contacting you soon after via e-mail, depending on the number of responses I might not be able to respond to everyone who signed up.

- Look through your stash for light-weight woven fabrics such as: Viscose/rayon, double gauze, light-weight linens, chiffon and light weight silks (If not sure test the shirring first.)

Vita pattern fabric

-You also need Shirring elastic at least 20 metres spool.

- 1 cm wide fusible tape - About 40 cm long to stabilise the shoulder seam for all versions.

- 20 cm by 40 cm light-weigh fusible or Organza fabric - This is for the puff sleeve version.

- 2 small buttons with shank - If making the buttoned up back version.

I don't have Facebook (I know!) I struggle with keeping up with Instagram I literally can't handle another social media account (laugh).

My plan is to use SLACK for the testing I have heard that some pattern companies already use it, so I thought to give it a go. If you would like to take part you need to download SLACK on you phone or have the desktop version (it is free).

Once I have all the email addresses from the testers, you will receive an invitation by email to join the Slack group.

So far the testings I have done they were over emails one to one, but I thought it would be fun to have a group where we can share info about the pattern.

I will need at least 3 pictures (front, side and back), they are only for me to access how the pattern is fitting on you. They do not need to be Instagram ready pictures! and you are not expected to share them or to promote the pattern after it is launched, only if you want to!

I don't mind if you to show the pattern on social media before the official launch date. The style is not a secret! Plus it helps other sewists to see the pattern in different body shapes.

About compensation, unfortunately Bella Loves Pattern is a very small pattern company and everything here is done by myself, I cannot yet afford to pay testers or have any greater form of gratification for your hard work and support except a huge thank you and the final approved copy of the pattern.

If this interests you please sign up here, I should be contacting you before Sunday 29th so keep an eye in your email.

Ps: please make sure when you sign up your email and Instagram accounts are correctly spelled.

Huge thank you to you all!
